Welcome to 2016, lovelies! I've been a bit absent from this blog, but I have new goals to keep it up better in the coming year! Hold me accountable, everyone!
Beautiful things are happening around here, and I'm so excited to share them with you! Brent and Melissa are such a fun-loving (and married) couple who, though I have not met in person, just emanate love, life, and laughter. They wanted an excuse to get back into their wedding day best, and I was part of a team of talented ladies who helped to make it happen! Shannon Ensor Photography reached out to me to be a part of this winter styled shoot, and once I heard the description, I knew I needed to jump on in.
This shoot is a little bit vintage, a little bit fuchsia, and a whole lot of cuddly goodness. There were berry and wine colored florals mixed with vintage china, and patterned linens. Just imagine a fresh layer of snow, plush cable knit blankets, and a warm cup of cocoa with your special someone...I mean...could it be any more romantic?!
I was tasked with creating the wedding invitations, menu, and place cards for this event, and I could not have been more excited! This is my jam! I took the inspiration and created a subtle cream vintage pattern in the background, and infused pops of fuchsia into the invitation. I balanced the cream and pink with a darker taupe and navy blue for the response card, and just for some visual interest, added an additional insert with bold florals. Digital calligraphy and vintage stamps addressed the envelopes. The invitations were accompanied by place cards in a patterned cream and navy, as well as menu cards with a bold floral graphic.
